- Graduated in 1991 with a professional diploma in Gemmology from the Canadian Gemmological Association which is affiliated with the Gemmological Association and Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britian.
- Fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association (FCGmA) in good standing.
- In the past, she was a tutor for the preliminary and diploma courses of the Canadian Gemmological Assocation.
